Project Description:
The client for this project is a company that provides quality crew and crewing services to the world’s maritime and cruise industries. As a maritime manpower agency, the company handles tons of application documents subject to accreditation and document validity verification.
With this, BlastAsia worked with the client in speeding this used-to-be human-extensive process of verifying documents and accrediting applicants without compromising data accuracy using RPA that makes the following activities possible:
A. Access automation of client’s existing systems
○ RPA uploads tons of documents to a server from validated screenshots
○ RPA verifies consistency of document data
B. File watcher activities
○ Enables the client’s applicants to submit his documents through a mobile application
○ Documents are read by OCR which extracts required data to be sent to an FTP server
○ RPA listens to FTP server files containing the required data sent by the OCR
○ RPA checks, monitors and reads files dumped inside FTP server
C. Access Automation of websites / web extraction
○ RPA gets the data from the FTP server files
○ RPA validates documents in several websites using parameter data from the FTP server
○ RPA checks for the authentication and validity period from the websites
○ RPA sends the validated document results back to the client's applicant in as fast as 2-3 minutes
