The client for this project is a company that provides an agile and affordable online platform to design, integrate, and automate business processes, manage work, and provide customers with self-service solutions.
BlastAsia works with the client in developing the platform and strengthening its features of the to deliver smarter solutions to their clients. This includes the form reader that can be used on any form such as receipts for reimbursements, expense liquidation, or any workflow that the feature may serve.
The form reader was built using the Form Recognizer, an AI-powered service under Azure’s Cognitive Services, that uses machine learning to get data from documents. It takes images of receipts and scanned forms and processes it to automatically fill up a digital version of the form. It also allows the users to create custom optical character recognition (OCR) forms to be integrated in existing processes. If users have a form that they want to digitize, they can upload several filled-out forms for the form reader to create a model from. This model then could be reused into different processes.
With this smarter, reliable form reader developed by BlastAsia, data extraction from paper or scanned documents is automated, information is guaranteed error-free, and the overall process of submitting a request for reimbursement is made even faster.
