Client Overview
Born out of a need observed in Nueva Ecija, Philippines, Board Prep was created to support aspiring veterinary medicine professionals who faced financial barriers to traditional review centers. Offering a mobile and web-based platform, it provides expertly curated practice questions from top-performing graduates.
Since its launch, Board Prep has expanded beyond veterinary medicine to cover seven subjects, with plans to support an even wider range of exams in the future. Powered by a lean, dedicated team, Board Prep remains committed to leveraging technology to make quality exam preparation accessible to all.
The Challenge
Board Prep faced the common challenges of a startup: limited resources and the need to rapidly validate its product and pivot as needed. Specifically, they needed to:
Develop a robust and scalable platform quickly: To serve their growing user base and expand into new subjects, Board Prep required a technology solution that could be developed and deployed efficiently.
Provide affordable access to quality exam prep: The initial problem Board Prep set out to solve was the high cost of traditional review centers. Any technology solution needed to align with this core value of affordability.
Maintain agility and flexibility: As a startup, Board Prep needed to be able to quickly adapt to user feedback and market demands. This required a development approach that allowed for rapid iteration and feature updates.
Transition from Web to Mobile: Recognizing the increasing importance of mobile accessibility, Board Prep aimed to transition from their existing web application to a mobile app to better serve their users.
